FAQs

What is the difference between a giclee and a print?

A giclee is a fine art print created by using a specialized high-resolution inkjet printer. Yes, a giclee is in fact an “art print” but giclee prints stand apart with their extremely high level of quality, longevity and value compared to a standard print.

The giclees that I use have an acid-free, lignin-free heavyweight cotton-poly blend, this elegantly textured canvas features a semi-gloss satin surface with a bright white point, exceptionally high Dmax and wide color gamut. The canvas base is enhanced with elastic polymers providing high tensile strength and flexibility for gallery-wrap stretching without cracking.

What is your Return Policy for Original Paintings?

If a collector is near by to my studio location, I allow 1 week for you to decide with the artwork in your home. A credit card will be kept on file, and if you would like to exchange it for another painting, or return it, you can do that within the one week period.

If a collector requires shipping of the painting, which is provided by the collector, they have one week to decide once the painting is at their home. If they would like to exchange or return the painting, shipping costs and insurance is again the responsibility of the collector. A card will be kept on file, and if a return is wanted,

After the one week, their card will be charged for the entire amount, and I will not be accepting returns or exchanges after that time period.

What is your Return policy for Limited Edition Giclees?

Can I make a partial payment?

I do accept partial payments!
A deposit of 1/2 the entire amount of the painting or giclee will be charged, and then a partial payment plan will be set up with the artist, and the collector. All partial payments are non-refundable. This is because I am taking it off the market for months at a time, and allowing the client the room to work within their budget. The painting or giclee will remain in the studio of the artist until it is paid for in full. Once it is paid for in full, with the last payments including shipping and packaging costs ( if applicable), then the artist will ship the artwork to the collector.

Do you accept commissions?

Yes! However, I accept only so many commissions per year, as my main body of artwork is my main focus and passion. I charge an extra 25% increase on my current prices, as I am creating your custom idea and vision for you. A deposit of 1/2 the entire amount will be taken to reserve my time and have me get started on your painting. I will show the client the initial ideas, and composition, and at that point I will be asking questions to see what works best, and follow my inspiration and muse. Towards the end, as the painting is more established, I will show a follow up, and then continue to finish the painting. Once it is done, the final amount will be paid by the client, plus shipping and packaging costs, and then the painting will need to be cured and fully dry before it is ready to ship.

I believe that my best works of art are created when I have the least amount of input from a client. I allow you to pick the subject, but I reserve the ability to choose the colors, elements, environment, and aesthetic to the finished art work, so that I can promise you that I give you my best work, and not a watered down version.
